Elizabeth (Betty)3 Lacey was born probably in the 1730s. She married William MORRIS and is mentioned in her father’s, Robert2 Lacey, will of 1753 [1].

The children of Elizabeth and William Morris are named in the will of William Morris (1797); birth order unknown and there may have been other children that did not survive [2]:

i. Lacey4 Morris, m. Tabitha Prettyman and had Thomas Prettyman Morris, 22 June 1777. [3] Legacy included parts of lands called Barnard’s Bloomery.

ii. Joseph4 Morris. Legacy included lands Wm. Morris received of his grandfather, William Burton called Chance.

iii. John4 Morris, b. Sept 1752, bap. 8 Nov 1753 at St. George’s Protestant Episcopal Church, Indian River. [4] With Robert4 Lacey (son of John Lacey and Ann), posted security bonds for the guardianship of the children of Robert3 Lacey. [5] He is likely the same John Morris that died about 15 December 1824 in Dagsboro, Sussex Co., Delaware. [6] Legacy included parts of lands called Barnard’s Bloomery.

iv. Robert4 Morris. Legacy included parts of lands called Barnard’s Bloomery.

v. Jacob4 Morris. Legacy included parts of lands called Barnard’s Bloomery.

vi. Burton4 Morris. Legacy included remainder of tract called Chance.

vii. Betty4 Morris Ennis. Legacy included 1 cow and calf out of ½ movable estate bequeathed to his wife, Betty Morris.
